SLFMTTC(State level Farm Machinery Training and Testing Center), Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

 State level Farm Machinery Training and Testing Center (SLFMTTC) at Bhubaneswar in Odisha approved as a testing center on Dt 30-03-2012 by MoA, GoI and also as a testing center for testing of Post Harvest Technology (PHT) equipment on Dt. 31-08-2017 by M&T(I & P), DAC&FW, M&T Divn. GoI. This center is assigned to prepare test report on machineries following different test codes approved by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). These test reports are valid throughout the country. It has been made compulsory to evaluate new machines basing on the test report and then the State Level Technical Committee (SLTC) will consider it for  inclusion under subsidy scheme of Govt of Odisha.

At present there are one Director post,one Executive Engineer post,4 Assistant Agricultural Engineer posts,Total 6 posts in SLFMTTC for testing of Farm Machineries in Odisha.

 The meaning of water management is optimization of watering a crop as per it's requirement.In coming years we are going to face water stress in many parts of the world where as  to feed the growing population, cultivable land needs to be  increased along with water requirement for Agriculture. Therefore we are to control water while irrigating a crop. We should not allow water for deep percolation and drainage rather supply water up to root zone depth of a crop.
