Custom Hiring of Farm Machinery in Odisha / Agro Service Center/Commercial Agro Enterpreneurship

We can now analyse from one Implement / Machine how Farm Mechanisation has created job opportunities for un employed youths in rural areas of Odisha which is a poor state.Let us take example of Combine Harvester. The per hour cost of this machine is Rs3000/-on rent basis out of which Rs2500/- goes to the bank account of the owner & Rs500/- per hour goes to the pocket of the unemployed youth who negotiates with different farmers of the village for running of the machine in their field. He make the time schedule / slots for different farmers, collect money before operation, deposit money in the bank account of  the Combine owner everyday twice in the forenoon & before bank closes at 4 PM in the afternoon.Even in harvesting season, the combine operates at night. Thus the owner is free from all litigations in the village where his combine operates & gets his money timely everyday twice checking his net banking.Even the combine operates 500km away from him or in other state,he is free from all botherations. The combine driver & the unemployed youth of the village are responsible for the fuel, oil & repair, maintenance of the combine.Through this strategy, the combine owner gets back his investment of 18 lakh for a wheel type combine & 23 lakh for a Track type combine within a year. When Bank observes the profit in an Agricultural machine/ combine, they are not hesitant to sanction loan for purchase of 2nd Combine or other implements. As earning is Rs500/- per hour, the rural un employed youths are encouraged to engage the  combine in different villages & schedule time slots for different farmers. So one Combine provides bred & butter to three persons & their family in a village, one is the driver, 2nd is the un employed youth & third is ultimately the owner of the farm Machinery who has taken risk, received loan from bank & purchased the costly machine. As labour problem is acute in Agricultural operations, poor farmers prefer farm mechanisation in their small holdings. When a combine operates in a village, the produce/ paddy is loaded in a tractor trolley & the paddy reaches the farmers home within two to three hours.A farmer is free from botheration of cutting paddy in his field engaging labourers, transforming the produce from the field to his yard, threshing it engaging labourers & packing it in sacks. So the poor farmers of Odisha even with small holdings below 2 ha goes for highly valued machines through custom hiring.
