 The North Eastern Region Training & Testing Institute, Bishwanath Chariali,(ASSAM) has been set up by – Government of India, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of Agriculture & Farmer Welfare, New Delhi in the year of 1990. The NERFMTTI is a subordinate office of Government of India, Ministry of Agriculture, Deptt. of Agriculture and Coop., Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi, which was established in  1990  with an aim to provide appropriate mechanization and technology in agriculture through training, testing and demonsration.

  Northern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute, Hisar  is a  public funded agricultural and farm training and testing institute  located at Sirsa road,  Hisar  in the Indian state of  Haryana .It is one of the four such institutes established by the Government of India's  Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare in the year 1963. It had imparted training to students hailing from all over India and 27+ other nations .

 Southern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute (SRFMT&TI) is located in Garladinne, Anantapur. The Institute conducts training courses in operation, maintenance and repair of farm machinery and equipment, and in the improved mechanized farming techniques for the benefits of farmers, tractor owners, technicians, in-service personnel. It also conducts energy conservation and management camps and arrange training for the women working in the field agriculture.  The Government of India  established  this prestigious Institute at Garladinne in Anantapur Dist (A.P.) in the year 1983 for promotion and strengthening of Agricultural mechanization through Training and Testing programmes in the southern region.

Farm Mechanization in Odisha.

 The first batch of Agricultural Engineers passed from the College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology (CAET) under Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT) in the year 1971.At that time there was an Implement Factory in the state capital at Bhubaneswar.The factory was producing mainly Iron MB Plow & other manual implements like Hoes,weeders etc.The capacity of the factory was to produce maximum implements worth 30 lakh annually & these manual ,Bullock drawn implements were sold around the state through the Offices of the Assistant Agricultural Engineers established in all the 13 old districts of the state. During the year 1990,the Implement Factory started producing Power Operated Implements using 1 HP electric motor.Power operated hold on type paddy threshers & Groundnut Decorticators were produced in the factory & sold in the state with high demand.Gradually power Winnower, Dal Mills were produced in the factory.
